AGM Theater Company past productions include; Marjorie Eliot’s “African Life on This American Soil", “An Evening with Langston Hughes”, “We Love you Shirley” a one-woman performance celebrating the Life of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, and “An Afternoon of Poetry and Jazz”. AGM Theater Company produces "Inspire", an interview format presentation focusing on African American Artists sharing their extraordinary journey in the arts." Inspire" guests have included R & B Legend Maxine Brown, and Film, Television and Stage Actor Hope Clarke. In December 2018, AGM presented a staged play reading of “The Boat People Series” by Author and Playwright Floyd B. Davis, and "Sunrise with Selassie" by Playwright Roger Parris.
In January 2019, AGM produced staged readings of Roger Parris's, “Tassie & Angela”, and “Grandma’s Window” by Louise Mike; both plays centered on the lives of African American Women.
In the Spring of 2019 AGM Theater Company introduced “The Clarence and Adrian Mitchell Play Reading Series “featuring a play reading of Yusef Salaam’s play, The Innerview James Baldwin@Elijah Muhammad. “The Clarence and Adrian Mitchell Writing Workshop” is designed to develop new plays, focusing on the African American experience.
AGM Theater Company produced "We Too, Sing Our People" Featuring The Potluck Poets & Friends in January 2020. The Potluck Poets honored and celebrated our most renowned literary giants by way of original poetry, short stories, and live music.
On September 27, 2020 AGM Theater embarked on a new frontier by producing our first virtual Spoken Word Live Stream Presentation "Election 2020!!' featuring a host of talented writers and actors sharing their thoughts on the most significant election of our time.
In October of 2021, AGM Theater Company is set to premiere the stage production “Second Look”, written by Janet Mitchell. “Second Look” is the story of a middle aged African American Woman taking a second look at her past and present, and in the process discovering the true meaning of unconditional love.
AGM Theater Company remains committed to “Telling Our Stories” and celebrating the magnificent history and culture of African Americans.
